Dr. Melanie Dreher, was then a medical grad student when she conducted her ethnographic study of Cannabinoids and pregnancy. She observed and documented forty-four pregnant women; 24 of which were using marijuana and 20 of which does not use marijuana. Dr. Dreher along with other researchers have observed the women until the babies had turned 5 years old. Their research results showed no undesirable effects of the mother’s use of Cannabis on the children. Some of these children even seemed to excel in some ways.
